Developing Dependency Parser for Indian Languages [BTP]
Parsing is the backbone for almost all sophisticated NLP application. The aim was to develop a broad coverage Dependency Parser for Indian Languages using Machine Learning Techniques which overcomes the coverage problem of earlier rule based parsers. Internal release of a Parser for Hindi has already been made.

Intelligent User Interface (Hons. Project)
This project targets the increasing complexity of GUIs in today.s applications. It provides an easy language interface which is intelligent enough to understand users. queries in natural language and performs the desired action. The designed framework was successfully implemented tested for Kspread(KDE Spreadsheet).In future integration with Speech System and Machine Translation Systems is planned.

Developing Search Engine for Information Retrieval
This project includes building a search engine from scratch for Wiki Corpus of size 20 GB without using any helping softwares. First you need to create an index for the the corpus and then retrieve the documentd corresponding to the input query. There was great emphasis on reducing space and time complexity.

Yoga Tutor
The emphasis was to save server space by reusing the images of postures to form animation for all asanas .A web based application was developed to dynamically create flash animation (correspond to an asana) on the fly from the stored images on the server.
